God Our Provider, Even When We Don’t Think So

We go from day to day looking for the BIG things that God does or will do for us but never seeing the SMALL things that He does for us daily. We have to train our minds to observe the little things and give thanks for them. God does a lot for us. We need to get a sheet of paper and make a list of them. I promise you that you will be surprised to see the amount of blessings that we receive on a daily basis. God is a God of the big things and a God of the small life sustaining things. Learn to count your blessings and name them one by one and you will have to praise and give Him thanks for all that He does that we don’t seem to appreciate Him for. Being grateful to God is very important to our worship of Him daily. He is worthy of all our...

Christ Our Strength

“Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might..” We are weak but we don’t know it. We don’t realize that it is because of His mercies and His grace that we are alive. He SUSTAINS us from day to day without asking for anything from us. God is so great that He can sustain this entire universe all by Himself. How awesome is that? He can do it all by Himself. We can’t comprehend how that is possible. He holds all power in His mighty outstretched arms. We have to be grateful to Him for the special God that He is. Think about this, how many of us if we hated something with a passion we would make provisions for those who would desire the thing that we hated? That is what God did when He sent His son to die for us. We were sinners and yet God who could not entertain sin allowed His son to become our sacrifice. What a might God we...

Patience is Truly A Virtue

It is a challenge to be a patient individual. It feels at times like everything is an emergency and we are in a race to get to some place important in a hurry. We hurry people along and sometimes get angry in our vehicles because they aren’t moving as fast as we want them to move. When we finally get to our destination, we are frustrated and upset at everyone. We get stressed out and develop bad health because of our lack of patience. Was it worth it to allow everything to become an “emergency” in our lives? If we could think about our life in retrospect, was it worth the frustration to loose our cool? Was it worth it to look bad before others? Was it worth it to be stressed out? The Bible teaches us to “be anxious for nothing but in all things by prayer… .” If you have observed God throughout the Bible, you realize that there are no emergencies for Him. God is very organized and so His timing is always perfect. We need to take that example and capitalize on it. We need to learn His patience by studying Him and how He responds to every situation. He never reacts because He thought about every situation in advance. Since we aren’t God and we don’t know all things, we have to depend on Him to guide us into a life of patience. It is worth all the discomfort in our efforts to learn how to be...

Are We Double Minded Christians?

Double, meaning two. Am I a two minded Christian? Do I have a Christian life and a secular life? Does Christ have a double mind? If He doesn’t, why should we? I hear this so often and I say it at times, “my Christian life.” We are Christians ALL THE TIME, not some of the time. We don’t put our faith in Christ as our Savior on sometimes and then we take it off at other times. We are Christians at home, on the road, in the car, in the bus, in the train, at school, at work, at church, everywhere. Once we have given Christ our lives, we can’t ask Him to give us control of it in certain situations. It doesn’t work like that. We are Christians 24 hours per day 7 days per week. We are His ambassadors always and He occupies our lives always. He is our honored guess and we are to entertain Him always. So I ask the question again, are we double minded Christians? Definitely...

Equipping Ourselves For The Battle

Are we ready to fight? Are we equipped to battle our way through to the promise land? We cannot wait, time is slipping away form us. Our enemy is prepared and he is on the attack. We are Gods occupying forces and He is our General. He has never lost a battle. Let us “put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:11-12 KJV We can only win with our armor fully secured. This is not a test, this is the real thing. There is not a second chance only carnage and destroyed lives. No you cannot sleep a little longer, wake up now. We are in a fight for our souls and the souls of our brothers and sisters. There are unsaved souls out there waiting to come in but there are only a few equipped soldiers of the cross ready to make the run  to get them. Wake up, time is running out on us. We have to get on the field and rescue some more of the wounded. Our commander is counting on us. “Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:14...

Having A Relationshp With Christ

We serve a mighty God, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He has many names to describe His many characteristics but He wants to be called Father by us. What is a father but our realization that He is looking for genuine sons and daughters. He is looking for individuals to talk to in a personal way with. Individuals to tell Him their joys and hopes, their dreams and failures, their hurts and disappointments. He is looking for real sons and daughters who will talk with Him one-on-one. Individuals who will walk with Him daily and share their day with Him. He is looking for a genuine friendship with His children. Look throughout the scriptures and you will see those individuals who stands out the most, they had a genuine friendship with God. David was a man who had a true heart for God and that is why He was considered a friend of God. Look at our Savior, He had a perfect friendship with His Father. He was for real with His Father. He let His Father know when He was weak. He was never afraid to be weak before His Father. He loved on His Father. God wants genuine friends that will talk to Him for real. Use your words and tell Him about yourself. He wants to hear from you. He yearns to hear our hearts true cry. Many of us haven’t spoken to our Father from our hearts for such a long time, He has only heard superficial talk from us, nothing from our hearts. He wants to hear from YOUR HEART today. He...
