Have you ever been in a situation where you feel like you have lost control? Like you’re in the middle of a whirlwind, and can figure nothing out. Everything around you seems to be tearing a part?
That’s never a good feeling because we always want to feel in control. The truth is, its good when this are out of control! Its good when we can’t figure it out! It’s good when nothing seems to be connecting! You know why? Because God is in control, He knows the plans He has for us. Plans for good and not for evil, plans to give us an expected end. He is faithful to keep us in perfect peace.
The sad thing is that God has to make us “feel like we are losing control” so that we will realize He is in control. He wants us to trust Him, and even when we don’t understand whats going on we can say like the woman in 2 Kings 4 whose son died that “It is Well”. Let us be encouraged 🙂
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (St. Matthew 6:28-34)
