Spending Quality Time Alone With The Lord

When is the last time we spent some quality time alone with the Lord? As much as it feels great spending time with our brothers and sisters in the presence of the Lord, He still wants to spend time with us individually. Look at Christ, He always went away alone to be with His Father. In marriage, if you don’t spend quality alone time with your spouse, it won’t work. We have to take time out of our busy schedules and invest some time with the Lord alone. There are things that He will speak into our spirits that we will never get in a crowd. He will take us places inside ourselves that we haven’t visited before or we’ve been hiding from. He will tear down strongholds and cultivate a stronger relationship with us. Some of us are afraid to be alone. We have to have the radio or TV on or we have to be on the phone or internet. We have to learn to be comfortable with ourselves and with God. What are we hiding from? We have to figure that out for ourselves. God desires us to love ourselves as He loves us. He will teach us how to love ourselves when we invest quality time with Him. God deserve prime time not leftover time. God is loving and kind and He only wants the best for us. Let us learn to give God some quality time to minister to our souls. He loves us more than we will ever...

Enter Into His Gates….

As we come together into the presence of the Lord, what do we bring? We bring the sacrifice of praise into His presence. When we thing about all that He has done in and for us, we praise Him and thank Him. He is awesome and worthy of the honor and glory. Bless the Lord o my soul and all that is within me, bless His holy...

Jesus is The Answer To [name it]

Do we really believe this statement or is it just a cliche? The reason I ask that is, when we are in need of a solution to a problem and He doesn’t show up at the time when we think He should come, we try to find our own solutions. I can understand God directing us to a solution, when He does it, it is always the perfect solution for our problem. The outcome is always a blessing and it brings God glory. When we come up with a solution after becoming impatient with God, it is never the best solution and it never gives God glory ultimately. Sometimes we come to the alter and place our problem there but as soon as we get impatient we go right back and take it out of God’s hand. In the end we blame Him for the solution that we came up with. God isn’t double minded and He has perfect knowledge of all things. He has perfect timing and He knows how to solve a challenge perfectly. No patch-up work for God. Everything is orderly for Him. We have to learn to trust Him with our lives and believe that He knows how to take care of us better than we know how to do so. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that who soever believes in Him will have eternal life.”- John 3:16. That is...

At The Expense of Self

“For God so loved the world that He gave..”- John 3:16 To have an attitude like the Lord is a great asset. We are glad to do things as long as we get the credit but if there is no credit to be gotten, we don’t participate. what if Christ had thought, “there is nothing in this for me so why should I give my life for these people. All they are going to do is turn around and curse me and despise me and hate me.” If He had thought like that, we would have no savior, no one to ransom us from the life of death that we were heading for. When we deny self the gratification and sacrifice the glory for Christ, our reward on earth and in Heaven is great. Sometimes we don’t see the outcome of what we do but God allows us to witness a transformation in someone else life . Sometimes that same sacrifice is the catalyst to the start of something wonderful. When we aren’t so concern about who gets the credit, God can use our sacrifices to honor...

Come Let Us Worship Him

We wake up everyday supposing that we did it on our own strength, we bow our knee and wonder how we did it, we take our hands and brush our teeth and look in the mirror never thinking that we didn’t do it, we eat our breakfast or drink our coffee and never think that we didn’t digest it by our selves, we drive our cars and look to and fro and didn’t cause an accident and didn’t think that we didn’t do it, we walk to the office perform a productive days work and didn’t think that we didn’t do it, we take the car or the transit home to our families and didn’t cause or get into an accident but we didn’t think that we didn’t do it, we watch the TV or play the game or go on the internet but we didn’t think that we didn’t do it. What did we really do through that entire day? Not a thing! God did it all, we just took all the credit and didn’t give Him any of the praise. He deserves the praise for every breath we take from when we wake up in the morning until we do the same the next day. He sustain all that we see or don’t see, do or don’t do. Give Him thanks and worship Him. He is an awesome God. He deserves...

Living An Extraordinary Life

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.”- Ephesians 3:20NIV Christ in us through His Holy Spirit gives us enthusiasm to do above average in all the things that we do. We are His and we have to seek Him, then we will find Him. He desires the best for us and so He will give us the power to achieve at a high level. The difference with this success and the one that the people in the world has is that it is complete. God fills the emptiness that is felt by so many successful people. He gives us a deep satisfaction inside to enjoy our achievements. Without Christ inside, there is no contentment that is lasting. It may come and go, but it never settles deep inside. Jesus said that He will give us His peace, not as the world gives us. That peace last a life time and the outcome is extraordinary living and Godly...
